A – Z, short but sweet, What Aromatherapy means to me….

Image
Hello!

My hopes are that you found this blog post, doing well, and social distancing with a positive heart and open mind.

Today, I wanted to keep this blog post light and fun; and talk about something I love dearly, Aromatherapy.

We are going to keep it fun by doing this with the alphabet. ❤

So here we go:

Aromatherapy is at least 8000 years old and allows us to benefit from living plants.

Base notes tend to evaporate the slowest and tend to last the longest in blends.

Carrier oil is what should be used when planning to apply to skin (topical) to prevent adverse reactions and reduce sensitivity. Examples include sweet almond, apricot kernel, jojoba and grapeseed.

Dilute is what should be done (using carrier oils) to apply to skin (topical). πŸ’§

Extraction is the method by which essential oils are separated from the plant. Extraction is done by either distillation, expression and solvent extraction.

Frankincense was one of the gifts given to the baby Jesus by the three wise men.

Wellness Matters

Image
Hello and Welcome!

Wellness is a holistic integration of pieces of one’s physical, intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual, vocational, financial, and environmental well-being.

Our well-being impacts our actions and emotions. All pieces are important, and must be paid attention to, as neglecting one over time will poorly affect the others, and ultimately one’s health, well-being, and quality of life.

So, lets take some time to do a general overview of what the pieces of wellness are.
Intellectual well-being is being open to new ideas and consider being a life-long learning (I am 😊). For this piece we can think in terms of always being willing to expand your knowledge.
πŸ“š
Emotional well-being is understanding your feelings and coping effectively. For this piece we can think in terms of self-care, relaxation, and reducing stress.

Social well-being is your social roles in society, like friend, daughter, and so on and having those relationships be effective and positive. For this pie…

Aromatherapy FAQ?!

Image
Hello!
It has been a long time! Many of you have shared you missed my blog posts. Honestly, I have missed posting them. Unfortunately, time got away from me and life happened and I lost track. But I am back! I am excited to share with you all again!

I have redesigned and revamped Evolve Senior Solutions, LLC to better serve my patients, their families, and even working to introduce some other passions of mine, in addition, I want to work more to educate and inform on health & wellness, because they are different things, you know 😊 ; but we will work to continue to discuss that concept.
Recently, I have received 3 suspicious emails from someone, whom I have never spoken to on the phone, on the web, or in-person, but they email me some random questions regarding me and aromatherapy. The emails are the same each time, and the person emails questions, that I assume they want answered, but I have not answered, because I am still sort of old fashioned, phone calls are important. 😊
